5th Day of the Chapter
Report of the General Council
This 5th day of the chapter brought us to listen to our Sisters of the General Council giving us a report of their five year mandate.
This gave us an opportunity to revisit the decisions taken at the Chapter of 2008:
Culture of sending: an essential dimension of our Charism
Empowerment of women in Africa and in the world: another dimension of the Charism
MVA to re-energize our mission; JPIC and Interreligious Dialogue which are responses to the new situations of suffering, of exclusion in our world today.
The General Council gave us a condensed and clear feed-back of its fidelity to the Acts of the Chapter. Our Sisters were animated by a conviction that a mission has been entrusted to them by the Institute and they thanked all their Sisters for having given the opportunity to serve the Congregation.
For our part, we pointed out that what gave life to this Council is: the collaborative Spirit in the Team.
The concern for implementing the Acts of the Chapter and the good method of work they adopted.
May the Lord be blessed for that.
